Facility rentals

Ladera Recreation District offers rental of the facilities to members and residents of Ladera. Please read the guidelines for rental (below).

If you wish to rent the facility, please contact us to check dates. Application forms and Agreements may be downloaded and mailed to the office.

Pool Rental Guidelines

The LRD is pleased to rent the pool on evenings when the pool is not in use. Use of the Wading Pool is included. The Volleyball court, Laderaland playground, tennis courts and Bocce Ball court are available but rules governing their use will apply. Volley Ball and Bocce Ball are on a first-come-first-serve basis. Laderaland is open to the public at all times. Rules governing the use of the tennis courts prevail during the charter; at least one of the players on a court must be a member and players must wait their turn to use any of the courts. Tennis courts and the community recreation room ARE NOT included with the Pool Charter.

Conditions of Rental

Pool may be chartered by Ladera residents and/or members only. The sponsor must attend and be responsible for the party.

A Certificate of Insurance naming Ladera Recreation District as “Additional Insured” (contact your Homeowners Insurance Company or the LRD can issue a policy) must be submitted along with sponsor’s signature on a Hold Harmless Agreement.

Date must be reserved in advance with the manager at least two weeks in advance of charter.

$200 deposit for the facility is required when the charter date is listed.

Charter Fees: $300 is the minimum fee. It covers 40 people or less for a 2 hour rental (this fee is refundable only on cancellation up until 2 weeks prior to event). Guests include parents, grandparents, swimmers, non-swimmers and caregivers.

There is a $5 fee for every additional person for parties over 40.

Additional hours are $95 per hour.

One guard per 20 people must be present for the entire function. One guard is included in the fee for rental. Additional guards are $20 per hour.

Guards must be employed by the Ladera Recreation District.

Wading pool is available for charter at $100 for a minimum 2 hour rental. Each additional hour is $50 per hour. A total of 40 guests will be allowed in the wading pool for a private function.

Mesquite charcoal may be provided by LRD – $20 per 20lb bag.

Group must leave pool area clean. NO GLASS ALLOWED ON POOL DECK. A minimum $100 cleaning will be assessed at the discretion of the manager if the facility is not left clean.


Entire cost of charter must be paid to LRD at conclusion of party

No amplified music or sound systems are allowed for live bands or taped music. Portable devices are allowed.

The LRD reserves the right to refuse charters.

Recreation Room Rental

The community room is available for activities benefiting the Ladera Community. It is hoped that the room will be utilized by many different segments of the community and by all age groups.

Conditions of Rental

Only Ladera residents, Members and LRD approved instructors may rent the room. Dates must be approved at least two weeks in advance with the Manager. Priority will be given to LRD sponsored activities. The LRD Board reserves the right to cancel any class or event.

$150 deposit is required when the event it booked. All fees must be paid on or before the date of the event. The deposit will be applied to the cost of the rental, providing there is no damage to the facility.

A Certificate of Insurance, naming Ladera Recreation District as Additional Insured for the duration of the event/class session, must be submitted, along with the sponsor’s signature on a “Hold Harmless Agreement”.

The rental fee is $150 for up to 3 hours rental, subject to the Manager’s approval. $35 per hour will be charged for subsequent hours. Room usage is free for meetings sponsored by Community groups, such as the LCA, etc.

Classes: Instructor will pay to the LRD a rental fee per session, based on 25% of total revenue, with a minimum of 5 participants.

Every participant must sign a “Hold Harmless” form, provided by the LRD. Full payment is required at the end of the event or the beginning of class sessions.

All guests must leave by 10:30 pm. All trash and decorations must be removed from the room at the end of the event/class. All furniture should be returned to storage area. Recreation room doors and windows must be checked and locked; lights must be turned off. The heater or air conditioner must be turned off, if used.
