Adult Classes

There is truly something for everyone at LRD!

We offer music and movement for kids, plus adult fitness and strength classes, Yoga, and Qigong.

Available to both members and non-members!

Water Aerobics

Begins Monday, April 30th. Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings, 10am-11am. This full-body, zero-impact workout takes place mostly in the shallow end of the pool. Participants use their bodies as well as specially designed equipment to progress through instructor-led routines. Water Aerobics reduces stress, helps maintain a healthy weight, promotes cardiovascular fitness and can influence muscle tone. Water Aerobics is an excellent exercise routine that’s easier on weight-bearing joints. It’s also a good option for those who are recovering from injuries. Led by Elaine Borland who has taught at the LRD for many years.

FEES for this class are: $100 for an entire month, $60 for a half month, $10 drop-in fee. All fees will be collected by the instructor

Early Bird Workout

Di has been leading the LRD Early Bird Workout for the past 11 years. She developed her own program to a musical beat. It is a fun and challenging workout for all age groups and levels. We work from the top of our heads to the tips of our toes, stretching and strengthening as we go. Different muscle groups are featured every class, but we always manage to get in some squats, push-ups and some serious abdominal work. A gentle warm up gets us going and a soothing cool down ends the class. Good humor always gives us an early morning “pick me up”.

The Early Bird Workout is designed to help people of all ages and levels improve their fitness levels. This is a non-aerobic class which incorporates light weights, resistance bands and other fitness accessories to strengthen and stretch the entire body from head to toe. Participants can expect increased bone density, improved strength and endurance, better balance and core strength. Our goal is improved upper body and lower body strength and better overall health and vitality. The class is set to music and moves at a quick pace. We laugh a lot. All are welcome. Please bring light weights and a mat if you have them.

Tuesday & Thursday 6:15 – 7 AM

Lengthen & Strengthen

This is a non-aerobic class which incorporates light weights, resistance bands, yoga balls and other fitness accessories to strengthen and stretch the entire body from head to toe. Participants can expect increased bone density, improved strength and endurance, better balance and core strength. Our goal is improved upper body and lower body strength and better overall health and vitality. The class is set to music and moves at a lively pace. All are welcome.

Classes include stretching, weight training and abdominal strengthening. Please bring a mat and water. 2, 5and 8 lb. weights will be provided. Wednesday are outside, weather permitting.

Adult Evening Tennis Clinics

LRD strives to offer at least one adult evening clinic every week for players of all levels. With 4 courts, a ball machine, and a great team of coaches we are sure to give you a great workout, instruction to advance your game, and help you find other players at your level to setup matches and hitting sessions with.
